The Making of Avatar, Saturday, April 3rd

Gnomon is proud to host a free, full-day event with several of the artists responsible for the ground breaking film Avatar! This event will cover design and technology with a wide array of never before seen artwork, shot breakdowns and Q&A.

Topics covered during the Design portion will include the design of various elements of Avatar, including characters, creatures, vehicles, props, sets and the world of Pandora. Guest speakers will include:

Presenters will discuss the technology used in creating Avatar. Topics will include motion capture and animation and integration techniques, real-time virtual filmmaking, and live action/augmented reality integration. Each presenter will cover their responsibilities and show behind the scenes footage related to their work. Guest speakers will include:
