Learn to Composite for Even the Most Difficult Shots

Combining images into a final frame for film or video has become more than just putting image A over image B. Today's digital tools have been developed through years of producing projects and challenges without the advanced tools now available. The art of compositing is in knowing how to use these tools, and how techniques and procedures are implemented at the lowest levels to achieve the desired effects.

While this course provides the fundamentals in using Shake as a basis for compositing, the focus is on learning the essential techniques necessary to problem solve difficult composites. Actual composites are used to explore techniques in matte generation, tracking, color correction, and image compositing. Shots are broken down and analyzed allowing students to learn how to combine various techniques and tools to solve different types of compositing problems.
