Cinematography for Visual Effects

Master Dynamic Composition, Lighting, and Color Through Story Telling

Specific sequences from classic and contemporary films will be projected on a large screen. Participants will draw from still frames. Dynamic composition, lighting, color through story telling, and film graphics will be thoroughly analyzed. Each class will focus on a different mood: such as the suspense film, horror film, romance film. We will be using mixed media: pen and ink, water color, pastel, charcoal, and marker, to create visual notes on these amazing films.

The goal is to increase the students visual, cinematographic, and Illustrative vocabulary. These skills can be utilized in story boarding, concept design, graphic novel creation.
