Essentials of Shooting Digital Video
Digital Video can Play a Key Role in the 3D Pipeline
Live-action material is fundamental to the 2D and 3D production process in many venues. This five-week course teaches the ground rules of shooting digital video footage. Discussion includes all the technical aspects of the DV format, as well as equipment choices and usage. Staging and lighting techniques are also extensively covered, along with technical explanations of tripod, steady cam and sky crane usage. Finally, once the footage has been shot, the output methodology for different applications will be discussed so that students can take their DV footage and integrate it into their CG projects.
