Surface Modeling
Define Detailed Surface Materials
Complement your hard surface models with realistic finishes. Define surface qualities such as metal, wood, plastic and add weathered, worn or distressed traits.
Good texturing incorporates the ability to create custom-made textures personalized for each model or part. The source of textures can vary from hand painted by the artist to assembling and layering imagery from photos, libraries and reference. As with most steps in 3D production software tools are standardized into one or more packages for productions. This course will use 3D Paint, 2D paint and Maya to create unique and efficient texturing. Learn the secret behind any good texture art: the layering technique, where overlapping elements form rich and beautiful work.
