Imaginitive Landscapes
Invent Rich, New Worlds from the Imagination
The focus of this course is to teach the methods and techniques that will enable a student to create compelling concept artwork of environments and locations without any visual reference. Students will use traditional media such as markers and Prismacolor pencils in addition to computer software like Photoshop and Maya. The advantages of each will be discussed and explored.
The elements of perspective, style, mood and color within the finished concept art will be of paramount importance. These elements will be discussed and developed during the course. An understanding of perspective, drawing and painting skills are required for this course.
