Polygon Modeling 2
Develop Your 3D Workflow
An extension of Polygon Modeling 1, this course focuses on developing specific workflows as they pertain to organic and hard-surface modeling.
Class lectures and demonstrations will cover the construction of bipeds that are animation and texture efficient. Particular emphasis will be paid to the character structure, specifically addressing edge-loop construction and detailed attention to hands and face.
The hard-surface portion of the course will address modeling a complicated object such as a jet, car or other transportation device. Tutorials will focus on maintaining the major form while adding details. Lectures will cover production specific issues pertaining to the representation of detail, poly count, and surface quality.
