Product Design
Bring Worlds to Life with Believable Props
While it is simpler to conceive the design of an environment or the characters that inhabit a space, it is the elements that fill the location, or the accessories that the character interacts with, that account for a much larger percentage of the designer's task. Weapons, gear, machinery, furniture, or simple props must undergo a thorough design exploration for any project. This course explores the visual language of various styles and time periods, past, present and future, in order to develop the students ability to problem solve how a design will best fit the story that it serves.
