Fundemental Techniques to Communicate Your Ideas
When designing for clients, concept artists and production designers must utilize techniques which are efficient, clean and clear. The main focus of this course is to apply basic fundamental skills such as perspective, reflections, shadow plotting, and marker rendering to designs geared toward the entertainment industry. Students will learn from in-course drawing demos and lectures.
Additional subjects will include lighting and material indication, the thought process before the sketch, use of thumbnails, rendering with Photoshop, use of pencil and pen, reference material, dealing with clients, time management, finding and charging for work and up-to-date industry information.
