Vehicle Design

Transportation Design for Entertainment

This course delves into the subject of transportation design for entertainment, including craft designed for land, water, air and space. Building the student's understanding of perspective, form and function, lectures discuss various design trends and visual language to illustrate vehicular purpose.

From utilitarian military to aerodynamic styling, students are exposed to the various design cues that allow the audience to associate with the vehicle as an important character in the story. Such exploration includes discussion of mechanics, engineering, ergonomics and the relationship between science fact and fiction in vehicle design.
