Zoological Drawing

Study the Drawing of Animals

This course is an intermediate studio course in sketching and drawing animals. On-site drawing of a wide variety of animals will be featured with field trips to the Los Angeles Zoo, the Equestrian Center in Burbank and other off-campus locations. Visits to campus of animals with their handlers will also be featured. Initial emphasis will be on the construction of the subjects from within, rather than just outward appearances. Basics will include anatomy, proportion and analysis of character movement.
