Facilities
Gnomon is in the heart of the Hollywood Production District.
Gnomon's facilities have been designed to create a production-like environment with an atmosphere conducive to creativity and learning. Our 7500 sq. ft facility houses five state-of-the-art computer labs, a theater/auditorium and three analog sculpture and drawing studios.
Technology
All Gnomon computer labs house the latest in state-of-the-art workstations. The production-level Windows XP workstations are periodically upgraded and serviced to meet the demands of the VFX industry.
Environment
Although we are extremely serious about training and education, Gnomon has a very casual atmosphere. We are open from 9 am to 1 am, seven days a week and there are students here whenever our doors are open. They are doing their studio/lab time, working on personal projects, watching movies or playing video games ("Research, you know"), or just interacting with other people who are just as passionate about 3D as they are.
