Mark is an award winning cross disciplinary designer and educator, producing solutions and products in the areas of transportation, furniture, consumer goods, entertainment and business.
After receiving his degree in Graphic Design from Oregon State University, Mark was accepted to and awarded a scholarship to Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA, where he participated in student work programs in both the interior design and exterior design studios at Ford Motor Company and Chrysler Motors, respectively, before eventually earning his B.S. degree in Industrial Design.
Mark founded Hatch Creative in 1998 and has developed products for world class design companies such as Razorfish, Sapient Corp., Walt Disney, and Columbia Pictures. Understanding the importance design serves in developing the much needed solutions for the future, Mark teaches courses in design at both the high school and college level while continuing to work out of his studio in Pasadena with a very select group of clients while developing his own projects through MARK822 and THIEF.
