We're here to help
Gnomon is pleased to provide a Virtual Financial Aid Office (VFAO) to assist students in applying for Federal Student Financial Aid. The VFAO provides students with a thorough overview of the Financial Aid process as well as the step-by-step guide through the application process. The process for Financial Aid requires that the student submit all of the forms and procedures in a timely manner. We strongly suggest that you review the FAQ portion of the Virtual Financial Aid Office (VFAO).
Applying for Federal Student Aid
Gnomon is dedicated to serving your needs and to helping you obtain the financial assistance you need to achieve your educational goals.
The mission of the Financial Aid Office is to help remove financial barriers and to assist students in meeting the cost of attendance at Gnomon. The role of our office is to fill the gap that exists between the cost of attendance and funds available from your family, savings and other resources. We will assist you with completing your application for financial aid, determining your level of need and offering financial aid to meet your educational expenses. Our staff is available to answer any questions you may have regarding financial aid and to address your eligibility concerns.
Gnomon offers financial aid through Federal Student Aid to those who qualify. Students who have applied and been accepted are encouraged to apply for federal grants and loans.
Each student seeking financial assistance must complete the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Information regarding the FAFSA can be found at www.fafsa.ed.gov. The FAFSA is available online and is submitted electronically. Electronic signatures of both the student and a parent, if applicable, are required. You will need to include Gnomon's OPE-ID, which is 040764, on the FAFSA. Once the application is completed and processed, a Student Aid Report (SAR) will be sent via email within three to seven days. Information from the SAR is necessary to determine a student's eligibility for aid. After receiving the SAR, students must visit our Virtual Financial Aid Office (VFAO) and complete an Online Interview. Students are welcome to apply anytime during the academic year, however we recommend that you work in conjunction with Gnomonís Admissions department.
Only students who are enrolled full-time in Gnomonís Digital Production for Entertainment or Entertainment Design & Digital Production are eligible to receive federal financial aid. Current and prospective students who are interested in applying for aid should call the Administration Office at 323-466-6663 and ask to speak to a Financial Aid Advisor. Office hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
