International Students

Gnomon is eligible to issue I-20’s for students accepted into:

  • High-End CG Certificate Program
  • Maya Fast Track Program

Additional information about the student visa process can be found online by downloading the International Students FAQ sheet.

We are NOT able to issue I-20’s for Professional Studies courses.

If you are interested in taking classes on an extension basis, you may check with your embassy to enquire about the length of a visitor's visa to the US. A visitor’s visa may allow enough time for you to complete one or two terms at Gnomon.

Decision Process for High-End CG Certificate Program

All Applicants of the High-end CG Certificate Program will receive our admission decision via email.

If I was Accepted at GNOMON, how would I apply for a Visa? Return the Acceptance Form and $100 Registration Fee to Gnomon. The Acceptance Form and Registration Fee payment reserves your space. Upon receipt of above, Gnomon will: Issue an USCIS Form I-20. The I-20 will be sent to you via FEDEX.

The I-20 form issued by Gnomon will be registered with SEVIS online so that you may proceed with the following steps:

  1. Submit Certificate of Eligibility form (I – 901) to US Customs and Immigration and pay $100 fee. This is required before you can apply for a visa at the embassy. Processing of and payment for this form can be done online. After paying, you can either print out a receipt, or one will be mailed to you. You must obtain this receipt at least 3 days before your visa appointment.
  2. Contact a US Embassy to make an appointment to apply for an M-1 student visa. Take your I-20 eligibility form to your appointment. When you contact them to make your appointment, ask what documents you will need to bring with you. It may take awhile to obtain the visa; it is a good idea to start this process as early as possible to ensure you will be prepared when school starts. To get an estimate of how long it will take you to get an appointment and to receive your visa visit www.travel.state.gov.
  3. Other Visa Forms (Additional forms may be required, check with your embassy):
    • DS-156 Nonimmigrant Visa Application
    • DS-157 Supplemental Nonimmigrant Visa Application (if needed)
    • DS-158 Contact Information and Work History for Nonimmigrant Visa Application

*Downloads for the above forms can be found at www.travel.state.gov.
