We are excited to welcome Forrest Stephan to our "Instructor Spotlight" series - a bi-weekly livestream event where you'll meet some of our amazing instructors and get a glimpse into their lives as artists and educators.

Forrest Stephan joins us to talk about Gnomon’s texturing and shading classes, his career as a Computer Graphics Supervisor for Cloud Imperium Games, and what it was like working on the highly anticipated title Squadron 42.

Gnomon's instructors are working professionals who bring unique experiences and perspectives into the classroom, and Forrest is no exception! Utilizing his 15 years of industry experience as a 3D artist, he teaches students the process of creating real-time, physically-based materials in Unreal Engine.

During this interview, we will talk with Forrest about his journey as an artist, what it’s like to create characters, environments, shaders, and visual effects for games, and what you can expect when learning from him at Gnomon. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask your questions in the chat!
